Full Description
Small circular kiln in a small, shallow chalk pit. It is likely that the chalk used was transported from elsewhere. Apart from 2 cracks the kiln is intact. The pit originally associated with the kiln is shown on the 6 inch 1st edition map (1879-1886) and the place name indicates that a kiln once stood in this location but no structure is visible.
