Map

This business supplied the locals with smithing, carpentry and farrier's services. Closed in 1960 due to management issues. The premises had 2 forges with chimneys, a saw pit, and the buildings were mostly 1 storey work sheds apart from the saw pit building, which resembles a 2 storey barn. Recorded by NIAS in 1974, the site was mostly derelict, being used as storage sheds mostly. However images from Google Earth and G.E. Street View 2009 (S1) show the site has been renovated since 1974. The current site use is unclear, but the 2 storey saw pit building appears to be the only original feature left standing.
