Full Description
This site was researched by NIAS in 1979. Since then the foundry has been demolished and turned into housing.
During it's operation from the early 1920s, the foundry employed between 12 and 50 men at any one point. The site was used to manufacture iron wares, however in its most recent history it was used to cast non-ferrous metals such as brass, bronze and aluminium. The factory was driven by gas engines and also housed a forge, carpenter and a wainwright.

The site is also visible on (S2).
