Summary

Earthworks of linear banks and ditches which are likely to be post medieval drainage features are visible on aerial photographs to the east of Intwood Lane, East Carleton. At least one of the ditches appears to represent a woodland boundary, the ditch and bank orientated east-west may be related to field boundaries or parkland division related to Carleton Hall.

April 2011. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of linear banks and ditches which are likely to be post medieval drainage features are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) to the east of Intwood Lane, East Carleton. At least one of the ditches (running north-south from TG 1914 0250 to TG 1895 0238) appears to represent a woodland boundary, the ditch and bank orientated east-west, and centred on TG 1878 0256 may be related to field boundaries or park management related to Carleton Hall.
