Map

This bridge has a concrete deck and concrete abutments with white painted iron railings.
The railings on all 3 bridges in Houghton St. Giles are marked 'Cornish Walsham, W.R.D.C. 1912' indicating that the bridges were all refitted at the same time. The 1709 reference to NHER 2053 is a mistake for NHER 16081. The 1838 tithe (S1) and 1st edition ordnance survey (S2) maps have no reference to a bridge in this location. The footbridge is almost identical to NHER 2053.
