Map

Faden's Map 1797 (S1) shows the earliest known stage of the staithe with only one wharf. Earliest building date stone shows construction in 1808 and the latest at 1949. Information from White's (S2) and Kelly's (S3) directories.
1845-1937: Two wharfs with corn warehouses and coal yards. The large 3 storey granary (1808) was converted to a house in 1977. The site has been extensively expanded in recent years, creating a sizable marina.
