Map

April 2011. Norfolk NMP.
An undated linear ditch cropmark is visible on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the south of The Rosery, Mulbarton.
The sinuous ditch is visible from TG 1986 0010 to TM 1984 9997 and measures up to 3m in width. It is only visible on one set of photographs, and is of dubious archaeological origin, as it may relate to modern agricultural practice in the field, or a trackway. However, it may also represent a former field boundary, and may be medieval to post medieval in origin.
E. Bales (NMP), 27 April 2011.

April 2013. Geophysical Survey.
A detailed magnetometer survey carried out over four fields recorded this ditch along with two others. The magnetic responses indicated that this ditch continued south into the adjacent field and stopped slightly short of meeting a north-east to south-west ditch bisecting the southern fields.
Neither of these ditches or boundaries are depicted on the tithe map of 1840 (S2) or the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (S3), but they broadly respect the 19th century to modern field layout. It has therefore been suggested that they may be of medieval or post-medieval date.
See NHER 60744 for further results of this survey.
See (S4) for further information.
