Map

2008 - 2009. Breckland warrens survey.
The banks associated with Methwold warren comprise a double bank on the southern boundary with the Devil’s Dyke partly forming the eastern boundary. A stone lodge is recorded in 1413, when repairs were made. The lodge was demolished in 1607, with warrener William Osgood replacing it with a new lodge. The medieval manor of Methwold was owned by the Duchy of Lancaster with a dedicated warren probably in existence by 1413, when the lodge was repaired. The warren area is currently divided between private ownership and the Forestry Commission.

January 2019. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
No features specifically associated with the warren were identified by the survey. However, the Fossditch (NHER 1089; called ‘Devil’s Dyke in the preceding entry) which forms the eastern boundary of the warren was mapped, where visible, in the Stage 1 project area.

August 2020. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Within the Stage 2 area, the project mapped a number of fragmentary linear bank which could relate to the eastern boundary of the warren; see NHER 63279 and 63270.
