This former late Victorian school was built in 1896/7 as a mixed public elementary school for 88 children. The building is constructed from red brick with stone facings in a mixture of styles including a decorative course of bricks under the eaves. The roof is decorative and would have originally been covered with plain close tiles. Inside two original fireplaces remain. The school closed in 1949/50.
