The former school was built in 1847 and originally comprised a one-room building with an associated teacher's house. The building is constructed from pebble flint with brick quoins with a tile roof, denticulated eaves and stepped projections. The closed some time before 1965 when it was put up for sale as a dwelling requiring modernisation.
