Summary

The original Deopham school was built in 1851 as a single room National School for over 100 children which closed in 1908. This school was later replaced in 1924 with a public elementary school for 104 children which closed in 1980 and was subsequently converted into a dwelling.

The original Deopham school was built in 1851 as a single room National School for over 100 children. The building was constructed from red brick with a slate roof arranged in a fish scale pattern. The school closed in 1908 and by 1924 was replaced with a public elementary school for 104 children also constructed from red brick with black facing bricks on the corner of the front gable. This school closed in 1980 and was subsequently converted into a dwelling with the former playground now a garden.
