The school was built in 1862 by the Marquis of Lothian with enlargement in 1874. The school is constructed from white and red brick banding on both gable ends and the original room on the porch with diaper brick on the later gable end. The eastern gable has the monogram of Lord Lothian of Blickling. The school closed in 1952/3.
