Summary

A fieldwalking survey between January and May 2010 recovered Neolithic to Early Bronze Age worked flint and pottery of Romano-British, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval date.

Field survey of proposed development area (Field 3).
During the survey Neolithic to Early Bronze Age worked flint including flakes, blades, scrapers and an axehead were recovered along with pottery of Romano-British, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval date. Metal finds from the site included a rod-like hexagonal cross-section object that tapered to a circular point, which could be a slate pencil, and a George III halfpenny (AD 1760-1820).
