Summary

The site of Acle windmill from the 1830s. This was a tall 7 storey brick tower mill with an associated steam mill and bakery.

The mill is marked on the 1838 Acle tithe map (S1), the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S2) and the 1907 2nd edition 25 inch map (S3). The mill was sold in 1907 and subsequently demolished.
