Summary

Metal-detecting between 2010 and 2015 recovered prehistoric flint flakes; a Neolithic polished axehead; Late Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a Roman tile fragment; a medieval roof tile fragment; post-medieval coins and undatable, Roman, Early/Middle Saxon and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undatable molten copper alloy fragments; a Roman belt stiffener, hair pin and probable handle from an unidentified object; an Early/Middle Saxon wrist clasp; a medieval buckle, strap-loop, harness mount and other mounts; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragment and post-medieval book clasps, a copper alloy trade weight, cloth seals, lead balls and a finger ring or ferrule.
