Summary

Mid 18th century coach house with a slate roof, two storeys in five bays. Hipped roof. First floor designed as a hayloft. Separate range of stables with gables and oculi.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Stables. Mid 18th century. Brick with slate roof. 2 storeys in 5 bays. Central bay broken forward under pediment. Segmental-headed double doors in centre bay. Oculus in pediment. One round-headed window and doorway each side and 4 Diocletian windows to first floor. Hipped roof. First floor designed as granary."

Outbuildings alone inspected. Listed 'stables' are in fact a coach house with late 18th (or 19th?) century front on a 17th century core. In addition there are unlisted 19th century stables, barn and granary indicating a substantial increase in horse power at that period. Ceramic dragon roof finials.
