Purpose built flint and brick museum created 1914-15 by Sir Alfred Jodrell of Bayfield Hall to house his collection of shells, acquired over a 60 year period. The building, which has 'Dutch' gables with a porch of matching design, consists of one main room with high level windows. Shells are also a feature of the interior decoration of the building.
