Map

This is the site of a large brick raceway designed to house a scoopwheel. Little is generally known about the site. It is assumed that it was powered by connection to a portable engine as there was no clear evidence of a fixed installation. It is first mapped on (S1) although is not labelled. The associated drainage network was altered in 1940 with the installation of the diesel engine plant to the west. (S2) includes photographs of the remains before they were lost in flood alleviation works in 2003.
