Summary

An undated rectangular pit is seen as an earthwork on visualised lidar data and field visits. The pit may possibly be a post-medieval extraction pit or may relate to Second World War activity, as the pit is in close relation to a possible Second World War feature (NHER 63285) to the north, and Cranwich military camp to the east (NHER 25240). If the pit does relate to a post-medieval extraction pit, it is not marked on the Tithe map,the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, or the Second Edition Ordnance Survey map.
