Arts and Crafts style house featured 'The Lesser Country Houses of Today' series in (S1) in 1923. The architect was Mr. John D. Clarke. The brief was for a house with the character of an old English cottage with a thatched roof. The house is of brick with some half-timbered decoration to one first floor room which is designed with a slight overhang. The bricks were colourwashed to the first floor level and rendered above.
