Summary

During a rapid earthwork identification survey in 1998 a bank was identified which is not marked on the one inch First Edition map (1824-1836).

A bank 3m wide and 0.5m high was located but is not marked on the 1 inch 1st edition O.S map (S1).

December 2018. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A large fragmented earthwork bank of unknown or probable post-medieval date is seen on visualised lidar data (S3). The extent of the previously recorded bank has been extended from the visualised lidar data [1] and is aligned approximately northwest - southeast running along the edge of the woodland. The bank can be seen as a boundary on the Tithe map (S4) and as a trackway on the Frist and Second Edition Ordnance Survey maps (S5-S6).
