Summary

In 2011 a trial trench evaluation revealed demolition debris associated with previous buildings on the site but did not reveal any archaeological deposits relating to the moated enclosure.

Evaluation of proposed development site.
No evidence was found for structures relating to the former medieval moated site. The subsoil deposits probably represent a made ground surface associated with the construction of the present driveway and parking area.
