Map

October 2011.
Google Earth imagery from 2006 (S1) shows cropmarks of an irregular shaped enclosure and associated linears or external enclosures immediately north east of Salle Park. Information received from [1].
These may relate to a previous extent of the park. This are was a wooded area within the boundary of the park in 1797 according to (S2). It is possible that the cropmarks represent an earlier settlement which was cleared to make way for the park, this is supported by the large number of medieval finds recovered in this area (see NHER 31178). However the enclosure/s is currently undated.
