Summary

Metal-detecting between 2011 and 2014 recovered Late Prehistoric and Bronze Age worked flints including cores and a scraper; Roman, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins plus a medieval jetton and Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman furniture fitting; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval thimble or sewing ring and belt or horse harness mounts; medieval/post-medieval vessel fragments, a lead weight and fragments of metalworking scrap and post-medieval dress or harness mounts, a sword scabbard chape, lead cloth seal, copper alloy weight, bells and a fragment of copper alloy dividers.
