Summary

Metal-detecting between 2011 and 2024 recovered late prehistoric flint flakes; Middle Saxon, medieval and medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton; post-medieval tokens and a range of other Early Saxon, medieval to post-medieval and undatable metal objects. These metal finds include an Early Saxon brooch; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval brooch, mount, attachment stud from a chafing dish or cupboard door, harness fitting and lead weight; medieval/post-medieval rings, vessel fragments, sieve fragments, a lead weight and writing lead; a post-medieval purse bar fragment, crotal bell, harness mount and corner mount from a book and undatable lumps of copper alloy casting waste.
