Melrose Hall is first shown on the 1841 tithe map and later on the 6 inch 1st edition ordnance survey map (1879-1886) as a substantial house. In the 1950s the western wing was demolished. In 2011 a planning application was submitted to convert one of the outbuildings into a private dwelling and garage.
