Map

A small rectangular park associated with Sprowston Lodge, an early 19th century white brick villa, built for the Stracey family. The park is apparent on both (S1) and (S2). (S3) describes the house as a 'neat white mansion' and that John Stracey 'has in his pleasure-grounds a flourishing willow, lopped from the tree, that overshadows the tomb of Napoleon, on the island of St. Helena.' The house was gutted by fire in 1965 and was offered for sale with c.50 acres (approximately half arable/half park) the following year (S4).
