November 2011. Historic Building Recording.
Record made of barn complex ahead of proposed conversion into three residential dwellings.
The barns are constructed from red brick with a clay pantile roof with two varieties of roof construction including 'A' frame trusses with tie beams supporting open purlins and rafters and cross beam with struts supporting open purlins and rafters. The barns are shown on a may by Bryan Hall dated 1707 and would have been one of the original farmsteads in the village. There are many 'open' cart sheds with designated bays and exposed structural timber posts on staddle stones or brick bases, one with a timber staircase leading to a hay loft.
See report (S1) for further details.
