Map

One of 4 milestones along the Cromer to Holt road, marking Holt 4 miles and Cromer 6 miles. This road was not part of a turnpike, and it is likely that these milestones were put up by parish councils in the late 19th century.

The milestones along this road are wedge-shaped, with arched tops and the mileages given in seriffed capitals.

(S1) gives information on this and other milestones along this road.
D. Holburn (HES), 11 January 2012.

The Milestone Society recorded the stone as lost in the 1990s.
