One of 10 surviving milestones along the Holt to Dereham road, marking Holt 6 miles and Dereham 12 miles.

The milestones along this route are of three types, the Dereham 10 miles to 16 miles are octagonal stones, up to 43 inches high, with domed tops and unequal width panels alternately tapering up and down. The mileages are inscribed in plain capitals and the name of the parish is written sideways on one panel. The second type are square stones with domed tops, set diagonally to the road with the lettering in plain capitals. There is only a single example of the third type, and it is recorded as NHER 46533.
