Summary

The school was built in 1849 by the Buxton family supported by T. Fowell Buxton. Since closure the school was been converted into a private dwelling with the layout of the 1903 school still surviving.

The school was built in 1849 by the Buxton family supported by T. Fowell Buxton. The building is constructed in a plain style from gault brick and pebbles with a slate roof. Since closure the school was been converted into a private dwelling with the layout of the 1903 school still surviving.
