Full Description
One of 7 surviving milestones along the Norwich to Beccles road, marking Norwich 5 miles, Loddon 5 miles and Beccles 12 miles. This road never became a turnpike although it was a well travelled route.
The milestones along this route are of varying styles, indicating that they were put up separately by the parish councils and thus are almost impossible to accurately date.
