Map

One of 5 surviving milestones along the Norwich to Aylsham and Antingham road. This road "left Norwich up St. Clement's Hill, through Spixworth to Frettenham where it divided. The left-hand fork continued though Buxton, then along the present B1354 to Aylsham to join the Norwich, Aylsham and Cromer turnpike. The right-hand fork went north through Felmingham to Antingham where it met the North Walsham to Cromer road."

This milestone is V-plan, and is made from 20th Century concrete, with the Sans Serif letters of the inscriptions attached by screws. "NORWICH/5/MILES" is visible on the left-hand side, and "BUXTON/3/MILES" is visible on the right-hand side.

(S1) contains information regarding this and other milestones along this route.
