This is the approximate location for a milestone that (S1) indicates is located on the second edition OS map as being approximately 100 yards east of the railway bridge in Salhouse CP. This milestone cannot currently be seen from the road, however, (S1) indicates that a milestone-shaped stone is at this location, lying under a hedge, with the dimensions being 'The top is 10" square by 10" long, while the lower portion is 9" square. The overall length is 24"'
