November 2010. Norfolk Rural Schools Survey.
Built in 1815, this school building was separate from the school house, however, extensions in 1924 and in 1943 two new classrooms were built, joining the two buildings together. The school had 21 pupils in 1947, and it was considered for closure in 1953-1954 but actually closed in 1962. It is now an arts centre. The original school room and the school house are constructed of coursed small carstone pieces with brick quions to openings and corners, while the central, later classrooms are constructed of red brick. There is a Founder's Plaque, which has been resited into the central classroom's wall and reads: "Erected/Anno Dominii 1815/by the honble FRANCES HOWARD".
