Map

Norfolk Rural Schools Survey.
A National School was created in 1848 and a teacher's house was added in 1858. (S1) states that a second National School was erected in 1911, and it is likely that this school replaced the earlier one. The school, in 1947, had 37 pupils aged 5-14 and the school was to be closed in 1956-1959, although the log books suggest that the school was closed in 1984. Since the closure, the school building is thought to have been demolished at some time, and now a village hall stands on the site.
See (S1) for further information.
