An early County Council school, built in the early 1900s. The initial layout was 1 classroom with lobbies, but extensions and additions by 1914 had increased the number to 7 classrooms and a hall. There were further additions and extensions in the 1920s, 1940s and 1960s. Post-war the pupils were moved to a modern primary school nearby, while this school housed the infant and nursery departments.
