Full Description
One of 3 surviving milestones along the Mundford to Thetford road. These milestones were placed to continue the series along the branch of the Stoke Ferry turnpike that ended at Cranwich. The milestone along that route that is similar to these milestones (NHER 56736) is likely to be a replacement that was erected at the same time as the Mundford to Thetford road milestones.
(S1) gives further information regarding these milestones.
D. Holburn (HES), 29 February 2012.
