Summary

In 2010 an excavation in this area revealed a number of ditches forming part of a field system that post-dates the Middle Bronze Age enclosure but contained no datable finds. The lack of Roman finds could suggest that this is possibly of Iron Age date. A circular structure within this area could be the remains of a round house.

Map

January - February 2010. Excavation.
A number of features re-cutting the Bronze Age enclosure contained no datable material, but are likely to represent a Middle Bronze Age to Late Iron Age reoccupation of the area given that there is a lack later Roman or medieval pottery. A circular structure was revealed at TG47451522, which is possibly the remains of a round house.
