Summary

Fieldwalking at this site in the early 2000s identified two scatters of potentially prehistoric burnt flint. Subsequent metal-detecting between 2012 and 2024 recovered a medieval coin and various other metal objects, including a Roman brooch and belt or harness mount; a Late Saxon harness link; medieval strap ends, a finger ring, strap fitting, spur buckle and mount; a medieval/post-medieval button and a post-medieval thimble, button, strap fitting and pipe tamper.
