Summary

Metal-detecting in 2012 and 2019 recovered Neolithic to Bronze Age flint scrapers and a flake; Roman pottery sherds and roof tile fragments; a Roman glass vessel fragment; Iron Age (Roman issue) and Roman coins and a range of other, Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an Iron Age bracelet; a Late Iron Age brooch; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches, a penannular bracelet fragment, hairpin, seal box, mount and possible military harness pendant; a Middle/Late Saxon strap end; a Late Saxon bit link; medieval harness mounts, a finger ring, harness pendant, lace chape, mount and probable writing lead and a medieval/post-medieval lead weight.
