Summary

The school was built in 1908. Following closure there have been extensive alterations to the building and an internal refit when the building was converted into a special educational unit in 2004 and 2005.

The school was built in 1908. The building is constructed in a plain functional style with some arts and crafts features. The primary school transferred to a new site in Field Lane in September 2002. Following closure there have been extensive alterations to the building and an internal refit when the building was converted into a special educational unit in 2004 and 2005.

(S2) states that there were two entrances to the school, one for junior school children (aged 7-11) and the other for infants (aged 4-7). A covered area supported by brick pillars connected the two parts of the school.
