Full Description
A 19th century milestone recorded by the Milestone Society and positioned along the Downham Market to Wisbech road. This is a V-section, cast-iron milestone mounted onto a square base. This base has the parish written on it, while the top of the milestone has a pair of crossed-keys on it.
The inscription reads:
TOP: "London/100/M".
LHS: "To/Down -/- ham/3/Miles".
RHS: "To/Wis -/- bech/10/Miles".
BASE: "DOWNHAM".
