The inscription reads:

See (S1) for further information.
D. Holburn (HES), 30 April 2012.

2010-2013. Maintenance work by the Milestone Society.
Milestone Society members cleaned and painted this marker.
On finding hidden lettering below ground level and that the base was missing, it was removed. The marker was then cleaned and painted. Afterwards it was re-installed with a concrete block attached to increase the height, this allows for the previously hidden lettering to be viewed. A French drain was created.
Information from survey form (S2) and photographs (S3).
H. Mellor (HES), 23 May 2018.
