Summary

Metal-detecting in 2012 and 2013 recovered a Roman pottery sherd; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, a post-medieval token and Late Bronze Age to late post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Bronze Age copper alloy tanged knife fragment; Roman brooches; a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount and harness link; a medieval annular brooch in the form of two large felines, harness mount, casket key, strap-end and lead pot mend; medieval/post-medieval buckles, copper alloy vessel fragments, a gilt sword chape, lead spindle whorls, lead weights, a toy cooking pot and a copper alloy vessel rim and post-medieval buckles, harness mount, crotal bell and a lead 2 lb avoirdupois weight.
