Two probable World War Two pillboxes are visible on aerial photographs (S1) approximately one kilometre apart, on London Road, Besthorpe. They are situated at TM 0685 9728 and TM 0771 9765. Possible road repair material is also visible in the post-war period situated along the road between these two points (S2).
