Full Description
May 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a possible rectangular enclosure and adjoining trackway or droveway are visible on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the west of Chapel Road, Morley St Botolph. The site is centred on TM 0728 9951.
The possible enclosure measures approximately 35m x 40m internally, although only two sides are visible. The possible trackway extends northwest from the corner of the enclosure across the field. There are further linear cropmarks visible to the north, although they are aligned in a similar way to the field boundaries visible on the tithe map (S2), and therefore may also represent post medieval field boundaries.
E. Bales (NMP), 9th May 2012.
