March 2012. Archaeological test pit.
An archaeological test pit was excavated by staff of the Historic Environment Service in order to train members of the Paston Heritage Society. The test pit revealed a post-medeival cobbled surface and a large quantity of ceramic building material, as well as several redeposited flint flakes.
