The earthwork remains of a World War Two auxiliary unit observation post survive in woodland in Thorpe St Andrew. The post currently survives as a 1m by 2.5m trench and is associated with the nearby auxiliary unit operational base (NHER 51911). This post would have been used to warn the nearby base of an enemy presence following an invasion.
