Map

June 2012. Norfolk NMP.
An area of undated linear ditch cropmarks is visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the south of Folly Lane, Old Buckenham. The cropmarks are centred on TM 0847 9137 and comprise ephemeral ditches which appear to be on a different alignment to the field boundaries visible on historic maps (S2). It is difficult to be certain of these cropmarks, as there is a certain amount of underlying geological patterning, and the ditches themselves are faint and ephemeral and only visible on one set of photographs.
A series of earthwork ditches is also visible in the field to the south, centred on TM 0847 9117, although at least one of these ditches is closely related to field boundaries visible on the Tithe map (S2)
E. Bales (NMP), 12th June 2012.
